Dunlop and Stanley is a joint venture created by Steve’s Dunlop and Andrew’s Stanley.
When they started the business around three years ago, the ever so pragmatic Steve said to the artistic and sensitive Andrew “you’re gonna need some steel toecap boots in case something heavy falls on your foot”. Steve concurred, purchased a pair of Dunlop boots in black and Andrew a pair of Stanley boots in brown and voila ladies and gentlemen; Dunlop and Stanley is born!
The name shouts dependability, forthrightness, honesty and a good deal more. Oh, and the name scans rather well.
With a shop in Sheerness, on the Isle of Sheppey, and contacts across France and England they acquire a range of items from, furniture, antique oak benches, china and pottery, mirrors, glassware, cast iron ware, high quality linens and collectables. Catering for all budgets, from high value items, to smaller collectables to suit most people’s pockets.
Steve has worked in the business for 20 years and has in the past sourced items for a chain of Italian restaurants and retail outlets. He is keen on recycling and up-scaling, renovating furniture and giving value added to items thought to be past their sell by date.
Andrew is the artsy one. He enjoys chatting to customers, and has a keen eye, so if he likes something, chances are you will too. He loves sourcing from vendors for you, the customer and helping clients with design ideas. Andrew also enjoys the e-commerce side of the business, taking the photos and getting them online.
They are both passionate and take pride in providing a personalised service tailored to your needs.
As they make regular trips to France, they can deliver or collect items by arrangement to and from France, and also from shop to home.
The shop is currently closed, but we are online here and social media. If there is anything you see and like, drop us a line.
